Clérac’s Solar Plant

 

SunMind has installed a solar carport power plant at the MESEA railway maintenance base in Clérac, which will cover the base’s car parks and storage areas.

The plant consists of low solar carports for the car parks, higher ones for the storage areas and a photovoltaic canopy.

This plant is made up of 654 low-carbon photovoltaic panels. It has a capacity of 500 kWp and will be able to produce up to 570 MWh per year. Since April 2025, the plant has been feeding all of its production into the electricity grid.

Two additional power plants are planned for 2026 at MESEA’s railway maintenance bases in Nouatre and Villognon. With a capacity of 2,600 kWp and 750 kWp respectively, these two power plants will bring the total installed capacity on MESEA’s sites to 3.85 MWp.

For this first project in Clérac, SunMind worked in partnership with Lesens Erea, a subsidiary of Vinci Energies specializing in the construction of photovoltaic power plants, and with Le Triangle for the metal structures.
