In Greece, SunMind and its partners secure renewable energy supply for Aegean Motorway operations

SunMind, the VINCI Concessions subsidiary dedicated to renewable energy, has acquired a stake in New Good Energy S.A., a company that operates nine photovoltaic parks across Greece, totaling 9 MWp of installed capacity and producing approximately 14 GWh of electricity annually. These solar parks are located in the Attika and Fthiotida regions, providing geographic diversification that strengthens production stability and reduces exposure to localized weather variations.

This investment supports the long-term supply of renewable electricity to Aegean Motorway, a major highway concession along the A1 motorway, a critical 230 km corridor connecting the Maliakos Gulf and Kleidi. The electricity will be delivered under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA), ensuring a reliable and decarbonized energy source for road operations.

The solar assets are now co-owned by partners involved in the operation of this motorway section. The project aligns infrastructure management with renewable energy production, contributing directly to environmental performance targets and energy efficiency in transport infrastructure.

This initiative also underscores SunMind’s role in advancing the energy transition across VINCI Concessions’ global portfolio. Leveraging the Group’s long-term vision and technical expertise, SunMind delivers tailored renewable energy systems that address both environmental imperatives and operational performance.

A new milestone in VINCI Concessions’ sustainable infrastructure strategy, the project demonstrates the Group’s ability to create synergies across its subsidiaries and deliver climate-focused, value-creating solutions for its assets and local communities.
