Lyon Airport Solar Plant

SunMind is developing, financing and operating a photovoltaic power plant at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport, in partnership with Neoen. The plant consists of a 14-hectare array of solar carports covering 5,800 parking spots, making it one of the largest solar carport power plants in France. With a capacity of 20 MWp, it will produce 24 GWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to the consumption of 9,000 inhabitants. The project was selected by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition as one of the winners of the latest call for tenders from the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) and will benefit from a long-term guaranteed tariff for the electricity produced and injected on the grid.

Construction of the solar carports is underway with OMEXOM (VINCI Energies) and Gagnepark and commissioning is scheduled for May 2025.
